Manasa Vocational Training Center

This is a unique flagship program run by Manasa trust, in helping empower rural women. The program aims at skilling women, who have completed their grade 12 (in science, humanities or commerce) in the health care sector. They are trained as patient care aides and are equipped to complete their Diploma in Patient care assistant and Diploma in Home Nursing Care which are two year programs recognized by the National Council of Vocational Research and Training (NCVRT). Their accommodation and food are provided free of cost by the institute and a basic stipend is provided through the two-year program. The students are trained by qualified nursing tutors and doctors and given practical hands on exposure in their clinical curriculum.

The programs are earmarked for girl students who are economically disabled and unable to continue their education due to financial constraints. These graduates are integrated to the health care sectors in smaller rural hospitals, palliative care centers, hospices, old age homes, rehabilitation centers and home care service providers.

Placement help is provided by the institute.
